Monster Truck show 2007

The Monster trucks came back to town, 5 different trucks but they put on the exact same show, cool seeing the trucks race around but we seen it all last year, Kids loved it, and that's all that really counts I suppose.

Belleville to Almonte

Here are some pictures of the bus we took to Moab, each trip took about 36 hours of driving non-stop to get there from Belleville, The big picture is from the first trip. and the picture on the bottom left is also from the first trip, unloading at the trail head after 36 hours to go for a quick ride on the short (2.3 Miles) Practice Loop, before heading back to set up our campsite and rest for the real ride in the morning, although the full loop is only 12 miles long it is very challenging and exhausting. The last picture on the bottom right was on the second trip, we had more people that trip so we needed the U-Haul trailer,

Before I got married I had the chance to go to Moab, Utah twice, both were great trips, These 2 pictures show our camp site in the bottom picture, amongst the trees, and the second picture shows some of the famous "SlickRock" trail, note the little white dots put there to mark the trail,.

Well, the SpongeBob explosion seemed to kill my computer, and thanks to Future Shops "Don't pay for a year plan" I have a new computer now,, woo hoo,,, see the picture, as what post would be complete without a picture?

I rebooted my computer a week ago and there was this loud bang and cracking noise from my computer,, I opened up the side thinking something had gotten into one of my many fans, but everything looked ok, 3 days later I decided I was going to burn a CD, so I popped my CD Burner drive open to find the shattered remains of a Sponge Bob game, "Operation Crabby Patty".. luckily I also have a DVD drive so I can still play games, I tried to recover all the pieces but I fear there are some lost inside forever, I did shake it to get quite a few bits to fall out,,,

Then I went to work, like a CSI investigator to re assemble the evidence,, not that it would do me any good but it makes a good picture,

The drive appears to be useless now, it won't read CDs or burn any.

ExpressVu HD-PVR 9200

Ok, our remote died for our tired old 3100 ExpressVu receiver and after looking into a replacement we thought for the price why don't we just rent that fancy new HD PVR receiver and actually make use of our HDTV! Another bonus is recording shows and not needing tapes.

Although I can't seem to record on the VCR anymore but it does play, but I assume it is just a connector is plugged in somewhere wrong. Of course when the guy was there I didn't check how anything else worked and after he left I had a few tense moments trying to get the sound all set up, The TV sound played as well as anything else that was on, making it a little confusing,

I am sure I will discover more problems, but for now it works great, and the HD channels look very good, The problems I hope will just be in the configuration of how everything is hooked up, ha ha,, anyways, here is a picture!

My father was in the military, sometimes he would bring me home unusual things, one time he brought me home two Soviet propaganda flyers that were left on a plane, and I saved them, Both of these little magazines were published in 1976,

I also found a old copy of Soldier of Fortune that I had purchased way back in December of 1981, there was a add on the back, I thought a picture of the 2 flyers with this add in between would make a amusing picture, You may have to click the first picture to actually read the text on the middle advertisement,

Well one of my best pals recently acquired one of the hotly sought after PlayStation 3's, this is great news, with my recent acquisition of the Xbox 360 now we will both have access to the best of both gaming worlds,

anyways, what post would be complete without pictures, here is a picture of his system with his old TV and another picture with his newest addition, I believe it is a 37" LCD,

Here is a updated picture of my TV with the Xbox 360 installed, it is a 56 inch Samsung DLP, it is a bit older so it only supports 720p.

But it is still pretty great,
